DPD reagents are a colorimetric method based on N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine which, when in contact with the water sample, will react to turn magenta in proportion to the concentration of chlorine present in the water.
DPD reagents are white in color and crystalline in appearance.
When a reagent (tablet or powder) is not white and has a grayish/brownish color, this reagent should not be used.

Can't believe I just found this place after living about 15 minutes away for many years! Not what I was expecting - it's more a warehouse than a normal pool shop but with loads of products in stock at very good prices and a friendly knowledgeable English-speaking staff. Bought a pool skimmer which had an initial burst of energy and is now (solar) charging up ready to help clean up all the bougainvillea leaves, insects, dog hairs etc. which get blown in to the pool.
It all looks promising - I'll be back . . .

Acabou por ser outra desilusão pois nem orçamento de enviou. Andei a pedir e lembrar por whatsapp e qual não é o espanto qd me diz que está de férias e volta uns dias depois. Nem orçamento, nem resposta profissional, nem explicação, muito menos pedido de desculpa. Quando ligo para o fixo e o próprio me atende nem lembrava de nada. We live in the UK but own property in Sao Bras and are in the process of refurbishing the property. We visited several Pool specialists/shops and Pools & More gave us the most confidence in being able to both advise and supply the correct goods for our requirements. I have now been back and forth to pools and more for all the materials required to refurbish our pool and will continue to do so for our future needs.
I recommend visiting the shop and talking to the owner Luis, he is fluent in English, polite, patient and knowledgable.
Whilst I run a construction company refurbishing Government commercial properties and refurbished our pool myself I still sought and took Luis's advice on the various issues we had regarding the pool.
He has literally everything you need to refurbish, maintain or renew your pool.
